About Us From a quiet corner of the New Forest, we offer you a choice of
self-catering accommodation and aim to be flexible to suit your needs.
Perfect for couples, friends and families,
the dog-walker, bird-watcher or horse-rider, you are welcome to stay from one night to as long as you like.
the New Forest and The Solent, guests at Pippins Cottage or Wren Cottage can enjoy leisurely walks along the mile-long King’s
Highway from which our cottages are accessed.
Dating back to the mid 1700s, The King’s Highway was believed to be an important route
for traders bringing salt from the Lymington marshes to the mills.
Now a designated footpath and bridleway, the route enjoys views across the Avon Water valley,
and takes you through though farmland and woodland – the bluebell woodland being particularly beautiful in the spring.
Wildlife is in abundance and you
can expect to see rabbits, deer as well as a multitude of birds. You might also be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of
the buzzard, barn owl, heron, badger, fox and even otter that have been seen before.
An award-winning pub and restaurant offers an exceptional
dining experience within walking distance, and we are happy to make suggestions for your stay; a sea-wall walk, enjoying views
to The Needles, a day-trip to the Isle of Wight, kayaking on the Beaulieu River, wandering through The Forest Arboretum or
a shopping trip to Lymington are regular favourites.
